Last month we kicked off a campaign to highlight the extraordinary efforts of our people who work on the frontlines with our client partners on their most important initiatives. The Client Delivery Excellence campaign provides a new platform for us to engage and celebrate our associates for their many accomplishments. It also provides us an opportunity to learn from teammates that lead with passion and purpose. Please enjoy the write-up below for Junyne, this month’s Client Delivery Excellence winner.

We are happy to announce Summus’ March Client Delivery Excellence recipient, Junyne Lloyd! Please read below to learn more about Junyne’s work and role, client excellence testimonials, and her approach to consistently provide excellent client service.
Junyne’s Current Client Engagement Role:Junyne quickly became an integral part of a “Fortune 500 Technology and Business Services” company since joining in July 2020. Her initial role was on a Sourcing/Procurement Project. By her second week, she was up to speed on the project landscape, key team members & stakeholders, current gaps, and planned path forward. By week three, she had organized the working team, added structure to the weekly team meeting, and mapped out the current state and path forward. Junyne ended her third week on the project successfully presenting an update to the CFO and has consistently added immense value ever since.
Prior to closing out the ePMO portion of the project, Junyne led all efforts on the P2P Program for the client for about 8 months. This program presented unique situations and detours that Junyne handled with authority and grace. Junyne set the tone for excellence in each meeting and for each program objective. Her skills in program and people management have made an impact across the P2P space. Junyne has truly driven to be great and led by example since joining the account. As a result, she has helped to foster the growth and development of other Summus associates with whom she works closely with on this “Fortune 500 Technology and Business Services” company account.
Within the last month, Junyne has pivoted her focus to the Enterprise Portfolio Tracking 2.0 effort. This is an on-going enterprise-wide initiative to optimize the Enterprise Investment Planning process, which determines and governs the multi-million-dollar portfolio of initiatives that are prioritized and funded on an annual basis. Junyne will project manage the enhancements to the current process and is already knee-deep in transition activities.

What would you suggest to your peers to drive higher value for our clients?
Engage and conversate.
“The biggest thing you can do for your client is talk to them…actually engage and have conversation. You have to be comfortable with and willing to talk with the client in order to truly understand their needs, what motivates and drives them, and what is important or valuable for them. We can only learn these things through genuine and continuous conversation. Part of driving value is knowing what’s important to the client.”

What do you believe are the top benefits of excellent client delivery?
Becoming a trusted advisor to your client leads to prolonged client engagement.
“The top benefit is becoming a trusted advisor…good customer service and good client delivery begin around the relationship you form with that client. Becoming that trusted advisor makes you part of the client’s core group, which means you’re included in conversations and thought about when they’re making meaningful decisions. Being that trusted advisor, for me personally, has been a huge part in providing good client delivery and excellent customer service.”
“When you give that excellent client delivery, it leads to prolonged engagement, where they want to keep you, or folks like you, around who can engage with their clients or their internal Stakeholders and Executives. That matters and makes a difference and leads to prolonged engagements for us as consultants.”
